Blind players

If you use a screenreader, please note that inside the ePlayground all texts and instructions will be spoken by your game mate BuddyFly. You should pause JAWS before entering the ePlayground.

In the Mouse and keyboard ePlayground the island map and the games IbisBuster, Memory and TrixMix are accessible for children who are blind. The ePlayground uses its own set of keys for navigation, with a clear explanation provided.

Click here for a written and spoken description of the ePlayground.

Blind and using single switch

In the future the Automatic scanning ePlayground aims to also support blind children who use a single switch for navigation. Currently in the Automatic scanning ePlayground the Actions on the island will give sound feedback and IbisBuster and Memory are fully accessible. Please use the Settings in Memory (Automatic scanning ePlayground) to turn on “Speak numbers”.
